For years, I've worn the mask society has demanded of me, but what happened when the mask slipped, and I was forced to look underneath in the dark?
I am excited to announce the official release of my debut Jungian-themed poetry chapbook, Shadow's Reprieve. This collection is a lyrical exploration of the unconscious mind, mapping the rough but radiant road toward psychological wholeness. Structured around Carl Jung's concept of individuation, these 15 poems serve as an intimate field guide to meeting one's personal inner landscape.

The Journey of the Psyche: Inside the Collection
Shadow's Reprieve is divided into three distinct movements, each containing five poems. Together, they mirror the classic psychological descent and integration of the self.
Phase 1: Persona
This collection opens by exploring the social masks we adopt, consciously and unconsciously, to survive in modern culture. These poems examine the tension between who the world expects us to be and who we actually are beneath the surface. The poems in the Persona capture the moment the mask starts to crack.
Phase 2: Shadow's Reprieve
The chapbook's heart dives into the personal and collective unconscious. This title section is a reprieve- a safe place- to confront hidden desires, shrouded grief, and forgotten soul aspects. Instead of fearing darkness, these poems treat the shadow as a long-lost friend who wants to come out and play.
Phase 3: Self
The final chapbook movement centers on psychological integration and rebirth. These poems reflect inner opposites harmonizing, resulting in the emergence of the unified true self. The poems here stamp the moment one finally accepts the shadow's hand.
Looking Ahead: The Full-Length Collection in December 2026
Shadow's Reprieve is only a glimpse into the dark. This chapbook serves as the creative foundation for my upcoming full-length poetry collection, Archetype of the Unlived, slated for release in December 2026.
While the chapbook introduces the Persona, Shadow, and Self, the upcoming full-length book will expand into deeper themes, dream analysis, and active imagination sequences.
Stay tuned, as a read-along & listen option will soon be available for free on Substack, where I will read a poem each week from my 15-poem chapbook and continue the journey by reading from the full-length book as it develops.
