Don't Wait for Saturn's Return to Get Excited About Your Life

Forget the astrology; start now: spiritual word from a falcon Saturn Returns-Peregrine Falcon Image-Created by Marilyn Glover with Canva Originally published on Medium , which requires a paid membership to read. Saturn’s return is a celestial event when the planet Saturn returns to the same zodiac sign and degree occupied at the moment of one’s birth. Astrologically, it takes roughly 29 years for Saturn to maneuver through the zodiac, meaning most people will encounter 2–3 Saturn returns: late 20s, 50s, and 80s. Each cycle lasts about 3 years due to Saturn’s slow-moving speed, but its energy hits with a blast of ‘reality.’ Good morning, happy Monday, and welcome to the latest edition of my recurring weekly medley! This is a space where I share soulful reflections to help readers ground their spirit and begin the new week with intentional clarity. Today’s post came about from a spiritual download on Saturday. Countdown to Jungian Chapbook Release: Poetry Sneak Peek

“Red and black splash background with white cursive text: I’ve been with my pen all this time, writing things I can never say.”

It's May 11, and just weeks away from my debut poetry release. At the month's end, I launch the chapbook, and in December, the full-length book will become available. Inspired by Carl Jung, my poetry draws on the abstract so the reader can extract greater personal meaning.

Like Jungian archetypes, my poems are like mirrors- they are meant for you to find your own story within mine.

First, I must note that I've made some recent changes to my site. I decided that Substack isn't for me. Instead, I am building my home on Gumroad

Starting today, interested readers can pop over to Gumroad and receive a sneak peek at my forthcoming chapbook with a free download of one of my collection's poems. For the next two Mondays, I will do the same.

Here is the schedule:

  • May 11 (Today)-: Poem from part one, The Persona
  • May 18: Poem from part two, Shadow's Reprieve
  • May 25: Poem from part three, The Self

Yes, absolutely free!

Why?

Because while I've been writing online for six years, this is my debut public collection, potentially broadening my reach well beyond virtual audiences. It took me a while to find my way on Vocal Media and Medium; I expect the same moving forward.

Besides, not everything is about cold, hard cash, and I much prefer exposure at this point. Maybe a few readers will turn into a few more, then some more, and so on. Reader trust comes first, and I think I ought to be a fool to expect folks to read poetry from a woman they've never heard of.

While poetry is my first love of writing and my art, this artist has no problem displaying her joy at no cost.

A note about my cover image:

"I've been with my pen all this time,
writing things I can never say"

This is a line from part one of my Jungian-themed chapbook, The Persona. The poem, Alibied by Ink, reflects a personal preference for writing as opposed to verbalizing my thoughts. My poem endures years of personal struggle to find my "voice" in this world, and it just so happens that poetry is not only my creative calling, but the way I choose to communicate at a collective level.

Signing off for now; only a short post today, but I hope my words find someone out there who just might benefit from my art of choice. If so, then I suppose I've done my job, and that is motivation enough to see my debut poetry collection through.

To grab today's feature, just click the Gumroad Link in my sidebar!

Because of how Gumroad processes free files, it will show a $1 price tag—but just enter the code FREE at checkout to drop that to exactly $0, completely free with no card info required. I hope my words find someone out there who just might benefit from my art of choice.
