Week Two Sneak Peek of My Jungian-Inspired Chapbook; Free Poem Giveaway

It's May 18, and time is drawing closer to the debut release of my Jungian-inspired chapbook. Shadow's Reprieve is a window to my full-length release, Archetype of the Unlived, due out in December. Inspired by Carl Jung, my poetry draws on abstract ideas that align with personal experiences, prompting the reader to derive personal meaning.

As a deep thinker, my mindset goes beyond the tried-and-true of societal norms and explores endless possibilities.

By removing boundaries, I extract potent visions, realizing man's hidden potential is often much closer to home than most imagine.

As a spiritual, non-religious person, my creativity integrates the little girl in me, one who has refused to be forgotten.

My chapbook, Shadow's Reprieve, honors the archetypes, Persona, Shadow, and Self, and my full-length book, Archetype of the Unlived, continues the journey, incorporating personal occurrences with Jung's theories.

Punished to pardoned

Internal call

Dialing back

Projections-

For self-protection

Yet

Infection lingers

Not enough fingers

To count

My woes

Add in the toes

Still not enough; it's tough

I grasp these bars

Still in a cell

Absolved of nothing

Feels like hell
